Our Story:

Meet Collette and Sean McGeer, the dynamic duo behind Beach Gypsy Holiday Rentals. With a fascinating background in the circus and entertainment industry, their journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Collette, born into the circus world, mesmerized audiences globally as a trapeze artist. In 1992, fate intervened, and she crossed paths with Sean, a skilled flying trapeze artist and an entertaining clown. Together, they crafted and performed thrilling acts, earning accolades for their Death-Defying Motorbike on a high wire and captivating flying trapeze routines.

In 1993, Sean and Collette embarked on a new adventure, establishing a successful entertainment and events company in Johannesburg, South Africa. Their expertise graced prestigious events attended by luminaries like ex-president Nelson Mandela and major corporations such as Sun International, Tsogo Sun, Neotel, Vodacom, MTN, and the Rand Easter Show.

Their artistic endeavours expanded into the movie industry, collaborating with renowned film and sports stars in both international and local productions. In 2002, they added unique party venues to their portfolio, enhancing Johannesburg’s entertainment scene.

A Coastal Dream

Fast forward to 2017, Sean and Collette decided to call Jeffreys Bay home. Renovating their residence, they created The Deck—a self-catering apartment with a wooden deck boasting stunning sea views, dolphin and whale sightings, and a panorama of the world-famous surf spot, Super Tubes. The positive response from guests inspired them to share the coastal magic further. Friends and neighbours sought their expertise in managing holiday properties, giving rise to Beach Gypsy. Sean and Collette embraced the responsibility of maintaining, cleaning, and managing holiday rentals, establishing a reputation for exceptional service.

The Beach Gypsy Experience

In 2023, Beach Gypsy Holiday Apartments emerged from their own renovated property, featuring three individual apartments available for separate or combined luxury rentals. Today, Beach Gypsy Holiday Letting and property management proudly offers a diverse portfolio of studios, cabins apartments, houses, and villas. From basic budget accommodations to superior luxury villas, there's a Beach Gypsy property to suit every taste and need.
